Editorial Review of Osho Zen Tarot: The Transcendental Game Of Zen
When life seems to be full of doubt and uncertainty we tend to look for a source of inspiration: what will happen in the future? What about my health, the children? What will happen if I make this decision and not that one? This is how the traditional tarot is often used, to satisfy a longing to know about the past and future. This Osho Zen Tarot focuses instead on gaining an understanding of the here and now. It is a system based on the wisdom of Zen, a wisdom that says events in the outer world simply reflect in the outer world simply reflect our own thoughts and feelings, even though we ourselves might be unclear about what those thoughts and feelings are. So it helps us to turn our attention away from outside events so we can find a new clarity of understanding in our innermost hearts. The conditions and states of mind portrayed by the contemporary images on the cards are all shown as being essentially transitional and transformative. The text in the accompanying book helps to interpret and understand the images in the simple, straightforward and down to earth language of Zen.

Review: I own many tarot and oracle decks. I love this deck for its artwork. Its is inspiring and optimistic. Certain cards feel a bit stupid like the nothing card and schizophrenia. The booklet can help tarot beginners.
I use my intuition so much, I threw the book and went with the feel I got overall to give a reading. It worked better for me that way. I must say, if you get only one deck (tarot) you might want to try something more traditional to learn tarot first. I bought this after I knew the tarot pretty thoroughly and was able to read from it.
If you want to meditate on positive things in life, this deck is useful for that. I have done that with good results, having a good meditation and better perspective on an issue.

Review: The Osho Zen Tarot, inspired by Osho and illustrated by Ma Deva Padma, is a transcendental take on Tarot. The images are literally out of this work, combining styles from manga-like illustrations to computer-enhanced images. This seemingly disjointed combination of styles works well for the diversity of messages expressed through the cards. This deck is not for beginners, as even the most versed on tarot may have problems using it. However, with the helpful companion book, this unique deck is a great source of inspiration for almost everyone to enjoy.
The imagery on these cards is too departed for comparison to most traditional tarots such as Visconti, Marseilles, RWS or even Thoth, but it does convey the message for the corresponding tarot card. A white border interrupted at the bottom by a white outlined diamond frames the imagery of each card. The diamond is color-coded within, and holds either a number or a symbol representing the card. Each card is labeled in English at the bottom.
For the Major Arcana, a roman numeral and color purple is shown within the small diamond at the bottom. The Fool and The Lovers retain their names, but all other Major Arcana has been relabeled to fit a Zen message:

Review Summary: This is the clearest deck for getting PERSONAL answers
Review: I used to use a set of Rider Waite cards but always found that they answered in a slightly group orientated way that always talked about people and their relationship to each other. I never felt that they were showing the behind the scenes reasons, just the people reasons. I looked and looked and found only tarot decks that spoke of people's problems with we each other.
A few years ago I purchased a set of your Osho Zen Tarot cards. On opening the pack I was immediately surprised to see that none of the cards spoke of blame, just the reader and situations. The cards show moments of stillness and honestly with myself, where the attention is not on other people and how they do things to me (as in other packs) but more of a 'me and my behind the scenes'. Your product has gently guided me to take responsibility for areas in my life for the better.
The artwork communicates where other packs have to be interpreted. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to Ma Deva Padam for me for the phenomenal illustrations.

Review: The art is incomparable. The four traditional suits are replaced by elements, so that might be a tad confusing, but not really once you get used to it. If the art is most important, get this. If you are used to the four traditional suits, you may want to pick another deck.
